The Arab Advisors Group team has analyzed the Arabic series broadcast on satellite Pay TV networks during Ramadan, 2016. The analysis encompassed 83 Arabic series broadcast on satellite Pay TV providers that cater specifically to the Arab region.
Arab Advisors Group’s analysis revealed that the main focus of satellite Pay TV channels was drama Arabic series, as they constituted 54.2% of total Arabic series aired. However, out of the 35 satellite Pay TV channels covered in the report, 5 channels did not air any drama Arabic series during Ramadan 2016.

“Abu Dhabi Drama+ HD, part of the OSN network, had the highest number of aired Arabic series among the analyzed satellite pay channels, by airing 13 series.” Ms. Hiba Rabadi, Arab Advisors Senior Research Analyst commented. “The production of the analyzed 83 Arabic series involved 74 production houses. 15 of the analyzed 83 series where coproduced by more than one production house, while the remaining 68 were produced by one production house.” Ms. Rabadi added.
