A new major survey of the TV Viewing Habits during Ramadan in Jordan was concluded by the Arab Advisors Group in August 2015. The survey revealed that around 39% of respondents prefer Syrian productions of series.

The survey report, “A Survey Analysis of how TV Viewing Patterns change during Ramadan in Jordan" was released on August 10, 2015 and provides the results of a major comprehensive Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) survey of TV Viewing Patterns in Jordan. The survey probes the respondents’ habits of watching TV during Ramadan and regular months including duration, time of the day, types of shows, names of shows and satellite channels. The survey was conducted based on the demographic breakdown in Jordan for the Jordanian population above 17 years old who reside in the main cities of Amman, Irbid and Zarqa.

Respondents were randomly called through randomly generated numbers. The survey results encompass answers from 502 respondents that passed rigorous quality control checks. Quality control was conducted by the Arab Advisors Group’s team and included randomly re-calling respondents for authenticity and double checking their answers on a selected list of questions. The survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 6%.
