SUMMARY:
This the report provides an analysis of the Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) of the cellular operators in the Arab World. The report covers seventeen countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, the UAE, and Yemen. The report examines operator performance in terms of absolute number of cellular subscribers, penetration rates, revenues, monthly Average Revenue Per User (“ARPU”), market share and financial ratios. The report, which was released in July 2021, answers the following questions:
• Which MENA telecom operator had the highest share of cellular subscribers in Q1 2021 and 2020?
• What is the prepaid/postpaid subscribers’ ratio for each operator during the period under study?
• Which telecom operator had the highest revenue and ARPU in MENA during Q1 2021 and 2020?
• Which Arab country tops the MENA countries in terms of cellular penetration rate?
