SUMMARY:
Qatar’s cellular subscriptions grew by 5.89% during the first nine months of 2017. The incumbent operator Ooredoo (formerly Qtel) added 352,036 cellular subscriptions during Q3 2017, while Vodafone Qatar lost 83,000 subscriptions. The two operators generated cellular revenues of around US$ 1.407 billion during the first nine months of 2017; a 6.25% growth compared to revenues generated during the same period in 2016.
