Media consumption in MENA: the available subscription-based TV content providers

SUMMARY:

Premium content is no longer confined to legal providers; pirated platforms invaded the media industry as they offer legal providers’ premium content at competitive prices. The MENA region is served by a mix of legal and illegal (or pirated) TV content providers with a wide range of subscription-based services such as: Satellite Pay TV, Internet Protocol Television (“IPTV”), Mobile TV, Subscription-based Video on Demand (“SVoD”) and Pirated TV content providers. Arab Advisors Group released a new report " Media consumption in MENA: the available subscription-based TV content providers". The report, which was released in November 2020, answers the following questions:
