A new Arab Advisors Group survey of TV viewing patterns in Egypt was concluded in April 2016. The survey revealed that 69.4% of respondents who watch satellite TV channels reported tuning into Nilesat, while only 15.4% of these respondents reported tuning into Arabsat.
A new major survey of the TV Viewing Patterns in Egypt was concluded by the Arab Advisors Group in April 2016. The survey revealed that around 82% of respondents watched content through Free to Air TV channels.
The survey report, “A Survey Analysis of TV viewing patterns in Egypt" was released on June 12, 2016 and provides the results of a major comprehensive Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) survey of TV Viewing Patterns in Egypt. The survey probes the respondents’ habits of watching TV including duration, time of the day, types of shows, names of shows and satellite channels. The survey was conducted based on the demographic breakdown in Egypt for the Egyptian population above 17 years old who reside in 22 cities in Egypt.
The survey targeted respondents who watch content through FTA satellite channels and other methods, such as content over the Internet and Pay TV providers. The Arab Advisors Group's survey questionnaire covered the following topics:
